Over 70% of healthcare facilities in Uganda lack climate adaptation measures, leaving them vulnerable to extreme weather, infrastructure damage and reduced service delivery. Climatica Foundation is integrating nature-based solutions, especially through fruit tree planting into the Ugandan healthcare systems to address this. Our impact • 488 trees planted and mapped across 30 health facilities in Uganda. • 93 healthcare staff trained in climate change adaptation and best tree-growing practices. • Improved climate resilience, nutrition, and air quality within health centers. • Strengthened long-term sustainability through community-led monitoring and care.
